It operates the number one wireless provider, Verizon Wireless, with more than 100 million U.S. subscribers to its 3G and 4G wireless voice and data services. In addition, the company offers its FiOS video, voice and data fiber-to-the-home product to almost 18 million homes nationwide. Given the company's participation in the slower growth telecommunications industry, the company's profit growth rate is typically slower that the average company; however, it generates significant free cash flow and offers one of the more attractive dividends of any large cap company in the S&P 500.
